A street art exhibition themed "Collision" was planned at the Istanbul French Institute, centered around the Olympics. However, the French Consulate rejected one of the participating artists' works, deeming it too political. As a result, we, the other artists, decided to withdraw from the exhibition.
For this exhibition, I designed a 'relay race' animation that takes place partly in Istanbul and partly in Paris. My aim was to connect the streets of these two cities through the theme of a 'relay race.'
After withdrawing, I sought ways to bring the project to life on my own. I was eager to see how the animation would take shape and how the two cities would come together.
In the end, I am very happy and proud to have completed this project not under the banner of an institution or event, but entirely through the contributions of independent and dedicated volunteers. I am truly grateful to everyone who contributed, big or small! <3
